Learn how our Notion framework streamlines workflow inefficiencies and knowledge fragmentation. Based on single source of truth, GTD, PARA, and Zettelkasten methods, our framework leverages relational memory and MVP to optimize your operations.

As a consultancy agency, our work involves helping clients identify key levers that influence results. In order to achieve this, we need a structured approach to organize our clients’ thoughts and processes. Notion is the ideal tool to provide and support this structured approach, and so we created our innovative Notioners framework leveraging the most advanced Notion features and the best performing methodologies and combining them into a bullet proof system for organizations and individuals.

What is a freamework?

Frameworks are structures that help organize thoughts and ideas so that we can identify the most important elements that influence results. The Notion framework we have developed is designed to overcome workflow inefficiencies and knowledge fragmentation, and it leverages the power of relational memory over sequential memory.

How is the Notioners Framework structured?

Our Notion framework is based on several key elements:

  1. Single source of truth: We use Notion as our central repository for all information related to a project. This ensures that everyone involved in the project is working with the same information, and it reduces the risk of information silos.
  2. GTD and PARA methodologies: We use Getting Things Done (GTD) and Projects, Areas, Resources, Archives (PARA) methodologies to organize our tasks and information within Notion. This helps us stay on top of our work and reduces the risk of tasks falling through the cracks.
  3. Zettelkasten method: We use the Zettelkasten method to take notes within Notion. This method involves connecting different ideas together, which is easier for our brains to process than sequential memory. The Zettelkasten method is based on the concept of healthy redundancies, where information is repeated in different notes to reinforce the connections between ideas.
  4. MVP approach: We adopt a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) approach to deliver a low-resolution working prototype to the client as early on in the process as possible. This allows our team to start working with it and provide feedback, which we can then use to iterate upon and refine the product. By adopting this approach, we are able to minimize the amount of assumptions on our clients’ workflows and processes while reducing the risk of miscommunication and ensure that the final product will meet the client's needs.

Our Notion framework has three types of relational memory:

  • Visual: We use visual aids such as images, diagrams, and charts to help us remember information. Visual aids are particularly effective for complex information that is difficult to understand through text alone.
  • Functional: We organize information based on its function, such as categorizing tasks by their urgency or importance. This helps us stay on top of our work and reduces the risk of tasks falling through the cracks.
  • Conceptual categories: We organize information based on conceptual categories, such as grouping tasks by their similarities. This allows us to see patterns and relationships between different pieces of information, which can help us identify key levers that influence results.

By leveraging these types of memory, we can organize our information in a way that is intuitive and easy to use.

With our Notion framework in place, we have been able to streamline our processes and workflows, and reduce the risk of knowledge fragmentation and workflow inefficiencies. Our clients appreciate the clarity and structure that our framework provides, and they are able to provide feedback and collaborate with us more effectively.

In conclusion, the Notion framework is a powerful tool for overcoming workflow inefficiencies and knowledge fragmentation. By adopting a structured approach to organizing our thoughts and processes, and by leveraging the power of relational memory, we are able to deliver better results for our clients and collaborate more effectively as a team.
